Responsible for planning support during the Bid and Award Phases to deliver and maintain competitive project schedules. During Project execution, ensuring the Project Planning team produce weekly / monthly reports in line with the project and company reporting calendar, providing details on progress, actuals, forecast and explanation of variances. Ensuring that project controls processes are consistently applied across the project.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in accordance with standard of best project practice.
- Track, analyze, update and create reports to allow accurate project evaluation and management.
- Must have a track record of delivering accurate schedule information, reporting and guidance to senior management.
- Experience in engineering and/or construction work process and activity sequence required.
- Strong project coordination skills with ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
- Co-ordinate project schedules, tasks, meeting updates, and efficient distribution of information.
- Prepare, implement, and monitor scopes of work using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for control and integrity
- Monitor projects progress, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date (after liaising with stakeholders to discuss the progress of the project and addressing any issues that arise)
- Provide updates to project risk register (identify, monitor & report all risks and issues) to ensure that risks are effectively managed to minimize their impact on schedule, scope, and budget of projects and work with the project team to ensure resolution.
- Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency and recovery plans
Essential Requirement:
- Graduate engineer with Minimum 7-10 years’ project planning experience.
- Experienced in Preparing L3/L4 Schedules in line with MDL (Master deliverable list) for Engineering activities.
- Experienced in prepare, review, schedules, progress reports in MS Project, Primavera, power BI.
- Experienced in exporting data from SAP for generating various reports.
- Having a good experience of Engineering Schedules and Costing.
- Deep understanding of self-inspection and data integrity principles.
- Good in data management and analytical skills.
- Sound knowledge in all aspects (cost, schedule, quality) of project controlling and reporting with special focus on trend analysis and forecasting
- Solid analytical / data interpretation skills
- Sound computer skills (MS office, MS project, SAP, PM-Tools)
- Proficient in Primavera or other Scheduling / Planning software.
- Experience for the management of resources.
